It does not automatically progress both people’s charts in the same calculation.

For a broader relationship study, you can reverse the birth information and calculate the comparison again.

In the first calculation, Person A’s progressed planets are compared with Person B’s natal planets.

In the second calculation, Person B’s progressed planets are compared with Person A’s natal planets.

This allows you to examine how each individual’s progressed planetary positions relate to the other person’s original birth chart.

The two calculations may produce different aspect lists because each person’s birth date, planetary positions, and progression rate are different.

If the birth time is unknown, the calculator uses 12:00 PM.

This assumed time may affect house placements and the precise positions of faster-moving planets, especially the Moon.

Birth Location and Time-Zone Conversion

The calculator uses the selected birth location’s latitude and longitude when estimating house positions.

However, its local-to-UTC conversion uses a rounded longitude-based time offset rather than the location’s actual historical time-zone rules.

This means that daylight saving time, historical civil time-zone changes, and locations with non-hour time offsets are not handled precisely.

These differences may affect the calculated planetary positions, progressed positions, and house placements.

Approximate Planetary Calculations

The calculator uses simplified orbital calculations to estimate planetary positions.

It does not use a high-precision astronomical ephemeris such as those employed by some professional astrology programs.

Results may therefore differ from other calculators, particularly when a planet is close to an aspect boundary or zodiac sign boundary.

Progressed House Calculation

Our calculator uses the Equal House system and estimates progressed house positions from a progressed Ascendant calculated using the progressed Julian Day and Person A’s birth location.

Different astrology programs may use other methods for progressing the Ascendant, Midheaven, and house cusps.

This can lead to differences in the progressed house placements shown in your report.

Aspect Orb Settings

The calculator uses a 6-degree orb for aspects involving the Sun or Moon and a 4-degree orb for all other planetary combinations.

Some astrologers use narrower orbs for secondary progressions, particularly when examining the timing of an exact progressed aspect.

Different orb settings may produce different aspect lists.
